TIGS (Together in God’s Service) is a Lay Formation Program that offers spiritual formation and financial assistance, based on need, to individuals who hope to minister within the Archdiocese as Pastoral Associates or Directors of Religious Education. St. Cecilia Parish seeks a full-time Pastoral Associate.
St. Cecilia is a diverse and active community of 1900 households in Mount Prospect, IL.  The parish has a thriving religious education program.
We are seeking a certified pastoral associate who can work closely with the pastor in ministering to the needs of this active community, as well as work collaboratively with other members of the staff and parish ministries while providing leadership and development in a variety of areas of parish life.

ST. CLEMENT PARISH, Chicago, IL
St. Clement Parish in Chicago is seeking a Director of Children and Family
Catechesis
.

The Director of Children and Family Catechesis is a full time staff position with responsibility for the formation of children and their families.  This role includes directing the Parish’s Sunday morning catechesis program, while focusing on family participation in the child’s education as part of adult enrichment.  The Director also works closely with the parish’s school faculty and staff as a resource for curriculum and liturgies and in coordinating the unified sacramental preparation programs.  The Director is responsible for Children’s Liturgy of the Word and for the ongoing development of a youth ministry program.  The Director also coordinates the work of the Ministers of Care and the small group faith-sharing program.  Other responsibilities that present themselves as a parochial need and as being a member of the parish staff can be expected. 

St. Clement is a vibrant urban parish.  While being over 100 years old, it would have to be described as a ‘young’ parish.  St. Clement is known for ministry to a wide variety of populations, the fastest growing being young families.

The school is seeking an Events Coordinator for its campus in Hyde Park/Chicago.

The Events Coordinator supervises and coordinates all internal and external events at CTU. The main objective of the position is to ensure that that the participants (CTU’s guests) of the events enjoy their experience at CTU. Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant develops, coordinates and implements various elements of the program with the TIGS program Director. Specifically, the Administrative Assistant supervises the office staff ensuring that all records (attendance, course approvals, etc) are maintained. The AA facilitates communication between the office and participants through various means. The AA assists in the preparation of all Formation events (days, evenings and retreats). The AA attends all the formation events with the Director, providing support and connecting with participants. The AA assists with planning the formation calendar and ensures that dates and facilities are secured for all formation events. The AA is a primary resource for the Director in assessing current formation and in strategizing for the future. The AA participates in the meetings of the TIGS Theological Council.

Job Elements:

1. Oversee design and management of TIGS database, ensuring it is kept consistently updated and supervises maintenance of all participant files and records.
Track TIGS participants’ attendance at formation events
Ensure that participants’ academic coursework is correctly recorded
Communicate with participants regarding missing forms and late fees, as necessary.

2. Coordinate communication with participants and business personnel at the academic institutions.
Send TIGS participants reminders of upcoming formation events in timely fashion
Coordinate, with C&G staff, TIGS materials for annual promotional mailing
Ensures that, through Administrative Assistant, participants’ assessment meetings with the Director are scheduled
Notifies participants regarding requirements of and schedules Integration Seminars

3. Faculty and Formation Presenter Liaison
Communicate with formation presenters regarding A/V, handouts, and other support needs.
4. Supervise creation and maintenance of TIGS Publications
Assist in preparation of annual program brochure
Maintain Participant Directory
Update Participant Handbook

5. Scheduling and Space Coordination
Work with LMFP Program coordinator in securing meeting spaces for all TIGS formation events

6. Formation Days
Supervise preparation of all handouts
Create worship aids
Gather prayer environment materials
Prepare the space
Coordinate, with LMFP Program Coordinator when appropriate, food/refreshments needs for formation events

Roles and Relationships

In the absence of the Director, the Administrative Assistant consults with Director by pone or confers with the Associate Director of the LMFP or with the Provost regarding decisions that are both serious and urgent.

ACADEMIC DEAN: Provides Academic Dean of the University any necessary faculty documentation—Curriculum Vitae, CBC, etc.

DIRECTOR OF LAY ECCLESIAL MINISTRY FORMATION PROGRAM: Reports to and works closely with the LMFP Director, especially with regard to calendaring and innovations in regard to formation programming.

FORMATION PRESENTERS: Serves as liaison to presenters; Ensures, through LMFP Secretary and Administrative Assistant that contracts are prepared and stipends issued.

PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS: Assists with recruitment of incoming students; handles student concerns/inquiries as needed

PARISHES/AGENCIES OF THE ARCHDIOCESE: Provides information about program through annual mailing and responds to inquiries.

ST. ISIDORE PARISH, Bloomingdale, Illinois
St. Isidore Parish was canonically founded on March 5, 1920. The first mass was celebrated by 45-families and founding pastor Rev. John Wester on Easter Sunday in March 1921. Today, St. Isidore is the second largest parish in the Diocese of Joliet with approximately 6,200 registered families.

The Position: Stewardship-Development Director
The Director of Development will have an opportunity to foster a greater sense of ownership among members seeking gifts of time, talent and treasure. The parish is debt-free and recently completed a Master Plan that includes a capital campaign in the near future. The position reports directly to the Parish Administrator, Tom Norton.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the new Strategic Development Plan, which includes events, School Annual Fund, Parish Annual Fund and Stewardship along with other relationship building and fundraising activities
  • Cultivate and steward key relationships including donors and prospects
  • Work with Director of Communication to create consistent messaging in public relations, press releases, newsletters, collateral materials and brochures
  • Collaborate with Formation Commission to align fundraising and marketing strategies
